Deer to Support Our Mission
At Exmoor Game School CIC, our approach to deer management is a little different. It’s not about a difference in expertise or our ability to deliver outstanding results - it’s about what the management of your deer helps to support.
As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, every deer taken is part of our carefully planned cull programme directly contributes to our wider mission: reconnecting children with their food, nature, and farming.
By choosing us, you’re not only ensuring responsible, professional deer management — you’re also helping to fund educational experiences that inspire the next generation.
We are experienced, fully qualified, and insured, with strong links across the countryside and game management industries. When required, we work alongside a trusted network of like-minded and dedicated professionals to deliver specialist projects and the highest standards of practice.
Our team can prepare Habitat Impact surveys and Deer Management Plans as part of Landscape Recovery Schemes and Higher Tier Stewardship Agreements, ensuring your work aligns with both ecological and regulatory goals.
We are passionate about creating and maintaining healthy, vibrant herds of deer through careful, discreet, and considered management. Every landscape is unique, and so is every management plan. It’s difficult to cover all aspects here, so we encourage you to get in touch to discuss how we can support your aims while supporting ours.
Based in the South West, we are happy to travel for the right projects and partnerships.
Our Initiatives
Community Cow
Cattle play a vital role cattle play as habitat creators and converting low-quality forage into high-quality protein for human consumption. This initiative gives children hands-on experience and provides high quality beef to vulnerable people.
Pheasant Friday
The "Pheasant Friday" project is a new, unique project that aims to normalise game birds as a genuinely local, seasonal, and nutritionally dense food source. Children are given hands-on experience in preparing & cooking local birds.
