This is a really practical and informative course run by people who are passionate about game meat and its preparation. The course will be delivered by Darren or Terry from the Combe Martin Farm Shop, a professional butcher and great all-round person. 

Each participant will get half a carcass of a wild and 100% traceable Exmoor deer to break down into a variety of different cuts such as joints, steaks etc. - under our supportive guidance. 

You'll leave with everything you prepare, ready to go in the freezer and keep you in tasty meat for weeks to come, so bring a big cool bag to take it all home in. The course will be run indoors but it can be cool depending on the weather.

Hot and cold drinks will be provided throughout the day, and a lunch of wild venison will also be provided.

The course cost is £185 per person - which is excellent value considering the value of the venison you'll leave with would cost significantly more than this if you bought it yourself. If you'd like to bring a partner that is fine, we just ask for a £20 contribution to cover insurance, cleaning, lunch etc.
