Join Us to Celebrate Exmoor’s Community Cow Project!
We would love to welcome you to a special afternoon of celebration at Moorland Hall, bringing together our local community, school, and farmers to reflect on the journey of our Community Cow Project.
What’s on the Agenda
-
School Presentations: Hear directly from the talented children of Exford and Cutcombe Primary Schools. They’ll be presenting everything they have learnt about sustainable food production and what it takes to raise cattle grazing on the unique landscape of Exmoor.
-
Ecosystems & Wildlife: Discover the broader environmental picture—learning how cattle act as essential habitat creators that boost local biodiversity and support delicate natural ecosystems.
-
Farming & Animal Welfare: Explore the vital relationship between farmers and their livestock, focusing on high standards of animal welfare, practical stewardship, and traditional Exmoor farming practices.
A True Field-to-Fork Experience
Following the presentations, please stay and join us for a hearty slice of homemade cottage pie, made using beef from our very own community cow. It’s a true field-to-fork experience that brings the whole story full circle.
How to Support the Project
This celebration event is completely free to attend.
-
Donations: If you would like to support our ongoing educational work, voluntary donations on the day are greatly appreciated.
-
